Catalyst Guitars is a small-batch guitar workshop focused on original designs built from the ground up — not reinterpretations of existing shapes.

Every Catalyst guitar features a sculpted, bound cutout that’s both visually striking and functional. The geometry is designed deliberately: the guitar sits naturally on the leg when seated, and the weight is kept low and well-balanced for long sessions standing. Nothing about the design is accidental or decorative for its own sake.

All models are original designs. They aren’t inspired by existing guitars and they aren’t trying to imitate anything already on the market. The goal is a familiar feel without borrowing a familiar shape.

Each guitar is made completely from scratch. I personally source all lumber, selecting pieces by hand based on both their physical properties and their aesthetics. Tops are chosen not just for how they look, but for how they behave acoustically and structurally. If a piece of wood isn’t worthy of becoming a guitar, it doesn’t get used.

Catalyst guitars are built for players first. The focus is comfort, balance, durability, and sound — not theoretical design exercises or visual gimmicks. Every instrument is fully built, set up, and shipped ready to be played.
