Downtown Sounds Workers Cooperative, Inc is a full service small college town music store which was founded in 1976 as Downtown Sounds, Inc . On May 1st, 2019, several long time workers banded together and bought the business, assuming ownership as a workers cooperative. We sell top brands of guitars, amps, drums, keyboards and recording gear. We sell both new and used instruments, have a luthier and amplifier tech in house, and offer maintenance and repairs for brass and woodwind instruments.
We’re always looking for good used instruments at our brick & mortar store -- cash, trade, or consignment.
All instruments are on display in our brick & mortar store and may be lightly demo’d before they are shipped. Please contact us with concerns or questions. First owner rights on brand new items still apply and all fretted instruments are inspected before they are shipped.

All used equipment sold by Downtown Sounds Workers Co-op carries a 30 day warranty.
