The American basswood body is paired with a bolt-on roasted maple neck featuring a comfortable Oval-C profile, whilst the ebony fingerboard, featuring 22 jumbo stainless-steel frets and luminescent side dots, provides the ideal conditions for precise playing right up into the higher registers. In terms of tone, the passive Seymour Duncan Hyperion HSS pickup configuration covers a wide spectrum, ranging from transparent clean tones to powerful rock and high-gain sounds. The dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch expands the classic 5-way switch to a total of nine versatile pickup combinations. A Gotoh T1502 tremolo, Gotoh MG-T locking tuners and the ergonomic Super All Access neck joint complete the AZ26P1’s modern specification.
