Fender Stratocaster Blonde 1960

While some Olympic White finishes fade over time to look darker, the true Blonde finishes can be distinguished by their semi-translucence allowing the Ash wood grain (unique to Blonde Strats) to be seen. Although Blonde and Olympic White were standardized as custom colors from 1958 onward, they were both still relatively common custom finishes.

The 1960 Stratocaster was made during the era of slab Rosewood fingerboards (1959 - 1962), clay dot inlays and three-layer celluloid pickguards that were known to discolor over time, creating a greenish tint.

Years of Production: 1954 - present
