Andy only had a brief chance to test out ThorpyFX's Deep Oggin when he saw it at NAMM this January. But even still, the brand-new chorus/vibrato unit earned a spot on his "Top 7 NAMM Pedals."
Now, upon the occasion of its official release, Andy got a chance to really dive in and test the depths of the Deep Oggin. With stereo outputs and a full range of modulated tones available, it's capable of rich, wide sounds—from slow, subtle chorus to wild undulations.
The pedal's controls include knobs for Depth, Rate, Treble, Volume, and Blend. This last knob can be put to good use when trying to marry the pedal's wilder tones with a clearer dry signal. As you can hear in the video above, the Deep Oggin also plays well with dirt pedals—a pairing that can craft the tumultuous waves of a stormy sea.
