The barrier to entry can feel insurmountable when it comes to getting into DJing, which is something that Pioneer is hoping to address with its newly unveiled DDJ-400 Controller.
The DDJ-400 is built for the beginner inside and out. It's lightweight and small, making transport to friend's houses for practice or to small parties for a performance easy and convenient. What's better is that the DDJ-400's design was inspired by Pioneer's Professional series, which means that whenever you're ready to upgrade to a more professional rig or get up into the DJ booth yourself, you'll already feel at home with the layout.
The two-channel DDJ-400 also comes with a free license key (worth for Pioneer's professional performance application, rekordbox dj, which features a tutorial mode for helping new DJ learn the basics and develop their skill sets.
The DDJ-400 is expected to ship later this month for £249 including VAT, $330 USD. For all of our Summer NAMM 2018 coverage, click the banner below.
