Gibson Dove Original 2022 with bag

The Gibson Dove Original is one of the most iconic acoustic guitars in American musical history. First introduced in the early 1960s, it combines the bright, articulate character of flamed maple with the depth and dynamic response of a solid Sitka spruce top, delivering a tone that is clear, balanced, and rich in presence.

Its square-shoulder body design and long 25.5" scale length provide excellent projection, controlled low end, and outstanding clarity across the mid and high frequencies. Premium construction features, including a nitrocellulose finish, three-piece maple neck, and traditional hand-scalloped bracing, ensure exceptional musical responsiveness for both fingerstyle playing and strumming applications.

Equipped with the integrated LR Baggs VTC pickup system, the Dove Original is equally at home on stage and in the studio, offering natural amplification that faithfully captures the instrument’s acoustic character.
