This 5-string Fender Jazz Bass is a refined and powerful bass for players seeking modern versatility with a familiar, classic feel. And it's a special model, too, as it's part of a limited edition!
Fender released this Jazz Bass V in 1996 to celebrate their 50th anniversary in a limited edition of only 500 pieces, and this bass is number 101 in this series. The bass features an alder body with a flamed maple top and back, finished in a classic sunburst finish. It has a more elegant appearance than its vintage predecessors, and the gold-tone hardware certainly contributes to this. Tonally, the bass is also exceptionally versatile; you can undoubtedly use it for anything!
This 1996 Jazz Bass V has accumulated playwear on both the body and neck, and the gold-tone hardware also shows signs of use. There are also some lacquer chips on the back of the neck and headstock. Now, this is, of course, a good sign, because it means this bass has been used for what it was designed for: playing! The bass is well on its way to Player Grade status, but it does offer a wonderfully played-in feel. You'll quickly feel at home with this beautiful instrument!
Comes with a TFOA passport in a Fender tweed hardshell case.
