1972 Studio WEM Starfinder 4x12" w/ Fane 12217GDs

• This is an *extremely rare* 1972 Studio WEM Starfinder 4x12" cabinet loaded with four 50W Fane 122/17GDs for high-fidelity, studio-quality, output in excellent-to-near-mint condition (both cosmetically with the rexine finish, and it's sonic capabilities).

If you’re viewing the listing, you are aware of the rarity of these cabinets coupled with these Fane drivers. My understanding is that this is a one-off piece. I have personally never seen a Starfinder with the studio (stereo) routing option in the back. This cabinet comes fully protected in a heavy-duty flight case. Please see photos for details.

Some notes on the 50W Fane 122/17GD high-fidelity guitar speakers:

• Date stamps: 49th Week of 1971, and 15th, 21st, and 27th of Week of 1972, respectively.
• 17,000 Gauss
• 2" voice coil
• 50W
• 6 ohm.

This cabinet is famously known for use by Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd (e.g., Live at Pompeii) and David Gilmour, throughout his career.

• Please note - to the best of my knowledge (where it is not officially documented), this cabinet was not owned by any of the aforementioned parties.

This unit has been stored in a studio, meticulously, in a controlled and well-maintained environment, as well as by the previous owner(s).
