Intellijel XFADE 1U is a stereo crossfader with modulation source functionality.
Essentially a classic DJ crossfader in 1U format, it mixes two stereo signals (A/B channel each with L/R inputs) together and crossfades them proportionally depending on the position and selected XFADE shape and sends them to the Mix L and Mix R output jacks.
In addition, XFADE 1U can also act as a modulation source for controlling other modules, as the crossfader also outputs control voltages to the CV A and CV B jacks.
A switch can be used to select whether the voltages should be unipolar (crossfading from 0 to 5V or 5V to OV) or bipolar (-5 to +5V or +5V to -5V).
Two LEDs indicate the polarity and relative level of the CV A and CV B signals. For precise control, XFADE 1U uses an Innofader crossfader submodule found in popular high-end DJ mixers.
