The Big Muff began to be sold around 1969. The first model in this series is affectionately known as the Triangle Muff, named after the placement of the knobs. With a body that is slightly smaller than subsequent models, it's as if the history of the Big Muff began here.

This is a circa 1970 model with a PCB (printed circuit board) and power ON/OFF switch. The case shows signs of use, such as scratches, but it's in good condition, typical of a vintage instrument. The rubber on the back panel has been cleanly removed.

The amp is equipped with three 2N5133 transistors, one of which has been replaced. Several damaged capacitors have also been replaced with soldered parts. Its distinctive features include a swirling low end and a thick distortion sound. This is a unit that exudes a powerful presence right out of the box.

Replacement parts: 1 transistor, several capacitors Accessories: None

* By turning off the power switch when not in use, you can reduce the consumption of the 9V battery.
