Taylor C14ce B6008 – Grand Auditorium, Lutz Spruce/Indian Rosewood Catch Acoustic Builders Edition (s/n:1202256085)! Guitar comes with Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case!

Some Taylor guitars are exceptional because of their specifications. Others become even more compelling because of where they came from and how they were chosen.

This Taylor Custom Shop C14ce B6008 Builder’s Edition, serial number 1202256085, has both stories to tell.

Hand-selected for Northeast Music Center during Taylor's exclusive 2026 Custom Shop Catch Event held in conjunction with the NAMM Show, this extraordinary Grand Auditorium represents the creative side of Taylor's Custom Shop—the place where premium tonewoods, Builder's Edition ergonomics and distinctive aesthetic appointments can come together outside the boundaries of the standard production catalog.

At its heart is one of the great acoustic tonewood combinations: Lutz Spruce over Indian Rosewood. Add Taylor's Scalloped V-Class bracing, Action Control Neck, Builder's Edition comfort treatments and LR Baggs Element VTC electronics, and the result is much more than a visually spectacular Custom Shop guitar.

It's an instrument designed for a serious player—and distinctive enough for a serious Taylor collector.

As the only independently owned Authorized Taylor Guitars dealer within a 100-mile radius, Northeast Music Center is proud to have personally selected this remarkable instrument at the 2026 Catch Event.

HAND-SELECTED AT THE 2026 TAYLOR CUSTOM SHOP CATCH EVENT

The provenance of this guitar matters.

The Taylor Custom Shop Catch Event gives authorized Taylor dealers an opportunity to select from a specially curated collection of Custom Shop instruments showcasing combinations of premium woods, finishes, appointments and specifications beyond the regular production lineup.

That's where Northeast Music Center selected this C14ce B6008.

We weren't simply ordering another guitar from a catalog.

We had the opportunity to evaluate a special group of Taylor Custom Shop instruments and bring home guitars that we believed deserved a place in our showroom.

Serial number 1202256085 is one of those guitars.

For its next owner, that means something more than exclusivity. It means this instrument was specifically chosen because we believed its combination of tonewoods, design, aesthetics and musical potential made it worthy of representing the Taylor Custom Shop at Northeast Music Center.

  LUTZ SPRUCE & INDIAN ROSEWOOD

At the center of the instrument is a formidable pairing: Lutz Spruce and Indian Rosewood.

Lutz Spruce makes an exceptional soundboard material for a guitar intended to cover a wide dynamic range. It can respond beautifully to a lighter touch while retaining the headroom needed when the player begins driving the top more aggressively.

That makes it particularly well suited to the Grand Auditorium platform.

Underneath it, Indian Rosewood back and sides provide the depth and harmonic richness that have made rosewood one of the enduring standards of premium acoustic-guitar construction.

The combination gives this C14ce tremendous musical range.

Fingerstyle passages can remain detailed and dimensional.

Open chords can develop harmonic complexity without losing the fundamental note.

And when the guitar is driven with a pick, the Lutz top has the headroom to respond rather than simply becoming compressed.

It's a classic tonal idea executed through Taylor's modern approach to acoustic construction.

  SCALLOPED V-CLASS BRACING

Inside the body is Taylor's Scalloped V-Class bracing architecture.

Bracing isn't merely structural. It helps determine how efficiently the soundboard can move, how notes sustain and how different areas of the guitar's frequency range interact.

Taylor's V-Class philosophy was developed around improving the relationship between volume, sustain and intonation, while this scalloped implementation further refines the response of the top.

On an instrument using Lutz Spruce and Indian Rosewood, that matters.

There is substantial harmonic information available from these woods. The bracing has to allow that complexity to develop while keeping the guitar articulate enough that individual notes don't disappear inside it.

GRAND AUDITORIUM – THE TAYLOR ALL-ROUNDER

The Grand Auditorium is one of Taylor's defining achievements because it refuses to specialize too narrowly.

It's large enough to provide satisfying depth and projection but responsive enough to reward a lighter fingerstyle touch.

That makes this C14ce capable of occupying several roles exceptionally well.

It can be a songwriter's acoustic.

A fingerstyle instrument.

A studio guitar.

A stage guitar.

Or simply the guitar you reach for when you don't know where the next musical idea is going to take you.

For a Custom Shop instrument, that versatility is particularly valuable. This isn't a guitar whose extraordinary specification limits it to occasional use.

It's designed to become a primary instrument.

  ACTION CONTROL NECK

The Action Control Neck is one of the most significant modern Taylor features incorporated into this build.

Acoustic guitar action has traditionally involved compromise.

Changes in humidity, playing style, string preference and the natural evolution of a wooden instrument can all affect how a guitar feels over time.

Taylor's Action Control system is designed to give the player far greater control over string height while retaining the structural and tonal benefits of the neck design.

For a guitar intended to remain with its owner for decades, that's a meaningful advancement.

And that's exactly how we view an instrument like this at Northeast Music Center.

A Custom Shop guitar shouldn't simply be extraordinary on the day you purchase it.

It should be engineered to remain an exceptional musical partner years down the road.

  BUILDER'S EDITION COMFORT

The Builder's Edition designation also means that ergonomics are treated as part of the instrument rather than an afterthought.

The body incorporates chamfered edges, creating smoother transitions at the points where the guitar meets the player.

It's subtle visually.

Physically, it can make a significant difference during longer playing sessions.

That's the philosophy behind Builder's Edition: premium appointments should improve the relationship between musician and instrument, not simply make the specification sheet longer.

  CHARCOAL EDGEBURST / KONA EDGEBURST

Then there is the visual presentation.

And this guitar is spectacular.

The Lutz Spruce top receives a dramatic Charcoal Edgeburst, creating a sophisticated frame around the soundboard.

Turn the guitar over and the personality changes.

The Indian Rosewood back and sides receive a Kona Edgeburst, bringing warmth and depth to the naturally rich appearance of the rosewood.

A Heel Burst carries the aesthetic transition onto the neck.

Rather than applying one finish treatment everywhere, Taylor has used different shades to complement the woods underneath them.

The result feels curated rather than decorated.

BLACK, PAUA & CRELICAM EBONY DETAILS

Look closer and the Custom Shop character becomes even more apparent.

The chamfered body treatment incorporates Black and Paua detailing, while West African Crelicam Ebony appears throughout the instrument.

The fretboard is Crelicam Ebony with rolled edges, and the specification incorporates additional Paua detailing.

At the headstock, a Colorful Crelicam Ebony peghead veneer creates a beautiful natural backdrop for the Paua appointments.

Even the bridge receives attention, using Taylor's Crelicam Ebony Curve Wing design.

None of these elements exist in isolation.

They create a visual language that runs from body to fretboard to headstock.

  GRACEFUL CINDY INLAYS

One of our favorite appointments on this C14ce is the Graceful Cindy fretboard inlay, executed in Paua and Mother of Pearl.

It gives the instrument unmistakable Custom Shop identity without overwhelming the natural beauty of the ebony fretboard.

That's a difficult balance on a high-end acoustic guitar.

Too little decoration and the instrument can fail to communicate how special it is.

Too much and the ornamentation begins competing with the woods.

Here, the Graceful Cindy motif provides exactly the right amount of artistry.

  25.5" SCALE – 1-3/4" NUT

The playing dimensions remain grounded in Taylor familiarity.

The guitar uses a 25.5-inch scale length, 20 frets, a 1-3/4-inch nut width and a 15-inch fretboard radius.

The Mahogany neck is finished in satin, helping maintain a smooth playing feel, while the West African Crelicam Ebony fretboard provides the firm, precise surface players expect from a high-end Taylor.

For fingerstyle players, the 1-3/4" nut provides useful space for the fretting hand.

For players moving between electric and acoustic guitar, the neck remains exceptionally approachable.

  GOTOH 510 ANTIQUE GOLD HARDWARE

The hardware was clearly chosen as part of the overall design rather than added at the end.

Gotoh 510 tuners in Antique Gold provide an appropriately premium appearance while complementing the warmer tones found throughout the instrument.

The bridge pins are Gray Bone with Awabi dots, another small detail that rewards close inspection.

Even appointments that could easily have been ordinary have been considered.

That's exactly what we want to see on a Taylor Custom Shop guitar.

  LR BAGGS ELEMENT VTC

For amplified performance, this C14ce is equipped with the LR Baggs Element VTC system.

Its streamlined approach makes it particularly appropriate for a guitar like this: the electronics are there when needed without visually dominating the instrument.

For the performing musician, that means the C14ce isn't restricted to the studio or living room.

This is a Custom Shop acoustic designed to go to work.

A CUSTOM SHOP GUITAR WITH A STORY

High-end guitars become more interesting when there is a genuine story behind them.

This one has it.

It isn't simply a Taylor Custom Shop specification assembled from a menu.

It was part of the 2026 Taylor Custom Shop Catch Event held in conjunction with NAMM, where Northeast Music Center had the opportunity to personally select instruments that we felt represented something exceptional.

That's an important distinction.

We see a tremendous number of guitars.

So when we have an opportunity to choose from a special collection, we're looking for instruments that give our customers a reason to stop, pick them up and remember them.

This C14ce B6008 did exactly that.

  WHY NORTHEAST MUSIC CENTER

As the only independently owned Authorized Taylor Guitars dealer within a 100-mile radius, we believe our role extends beyond simply stocking Taylor guitars.

We want Northeast Music Center to be a genuine Taylor destination.

A place where someone shopping for an important acoustic guitar can compare instruments, talk with knowledgeable people and understand why one particular guitar may connect with them more than another.

With an instrument as distinctive as this 2026 Catch Event C14ce, that relationship becomes even more important.

Specifications can tell you what a guitar is made from.

They can't completely tell you what happens when you play it.

That's why Northeast Music Center continues to seek out exceptional guitars rather than relying only on ordinary production inventory.

  TAYLOR DELUXE HARDSHELL CASE INCLUDED

This C14ce B6008 comes complete with its Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case, providing the protection and presentation appropriate for an instrument of this caliber.

  FOR THE PLAYER—AND THE COLLECTOR

There are two very good reasons to own this guitar.

The first is straightforward:

It's an extraordinary instrument to play.

Lutz Spruce, Indian Rosewood, Grand Auditorium proportions, Scalloped V-Class bracing, Action Control Neck and Builder's Edition ergonomics create an acoustic guitar with serious musical potential.

The second is what makes this particular example harder to duplicate.

It has provenance.

It was created as part of Taylor's Custom Shop Catch program and personally selected by Northeast Music Center at the 2026 Catch Event associated with NAMM.

Add the Charcoal and Kona Edgeburst treatments, Graceful Cindy inlays, Paua detailing, Crelicam Ebony appointments and Antique Gold Gotoh hardware, and you have a guitar whose specification stands apart even among premium Taylors.

For the serious player, recording musician or Taylor collector looking for something beyond the regular production catalog, this Taylor Custom Shop C14ce B6008 Builder's Edition, serial number 1202256085, represents an exceptional opportunity.
