Reluctantly for sale - this is my amazing 1995 Orville by Gibson 335 reissue built in the renowned Fujigen factory in Japan in it’s only year of production at that factory. It is very similar to the one that well known British guitarist Chris Buck owns and plays in the video below, which is also a Fujigen 335 reissue model from the same year. Consequently these particular reissue guitars are very rare, and hard to find. Prior to that they were made at the Terada factory. These Fujigen reissues are actually closer to custom shop territory (Chris Buck actually says this in the video below), having been modelled on actual 1959 335 specs. It has a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which has aged gorgeously, neck with a long neck tenon, fret end binding and Gibson USA ‘57 Classic PAF’s. The top is stunning with some absolutely gorgeous birds eye maple. The guitar sounds great - even acoustically.

In the video Chris explains that he had well known British luthier Huw Price de-pot the Classic 57 picksups that the guitar came with to open them up a bit sound wise and also change the magnets. I asked Huw to do exactly the same thing and the original 57 Classic’s now have Alnico 3 magnets in them. The only other things I have changed is a wiring harness upgraded with VIP 550k pots (closest taper to original Centralab pots that are on vintage 335's) and Jupiter aluminium foil paper in oil bumble bee capacitors, a 0.015 for the neck pickup and a 0.022 for the bridge. Again, these are the closest to vintage bumble bee capacitors that you can buy. The original wiring is included with the guitar. The tailpiece is also a light weight Faber reproduction, but again the original is included.

Neck is good and straight with a slight relief, truss rod works as normal.

Condition wise it is incredibly clean, with no breaks/cracks or issues of that sort, and with hardly any marks on it at all.

Comes with OHC (as far as I'm aware) and factory warranty card.

As I say, reluctant sale. However, this is my most valuable guitar and I need to raise funds for other purchases!
