Black Lion PBR TT LIT: A Bantam Patchbay That Labels Every Point

The Black Lion Audio PBR TT LIT is a 96-point TT bantam patchbay with LED displays, pairing gold-plated points with a lit label over every connection. It keeps the same high-density bantam grid and DB25 wiring as the standard PBR TT while adding a screen for each point. Those displays replace tape and markers with text you can rewrite in seconds. In one panel it makes a dense patch grid instantly readable.

Per-Point LED Displays You Can Rewrite

A bright display sits above each of the 96 points and shows up to 6 characters per channel. Digital labels mean renaming a point takes seconds rather than peeling and re-writing stickers. A display button can toggle the labels off when a dark rack is preferred. Accurate identification stays effortless even as routing changes often.

Two Ways to Set Your Labels

Labels can be entered two ways to fit your workflow. Plug a USB keyboard into the front port and type each name directly on the unit. Alternatively, build a full label set in the included PatchCAD software, save it to a USB drive, insert the drive, and update. Both methods write clean, consistent names across all 96 points.

The Same High-Density Bantam Grid

Under the displays, the TT LIT is a full 96-point bantam bay in two rows of 48. TT, short for Tiny Telephone or bantam, uses a compact 4.4-millimeter plug so a whole rack of I/O fits in a small panel. Twelve rear DB25 connectors wire the bay to your gear with standard snakes and no soldering. An internal steel plate keeps those connectors rigid under heavy cable looms.

Three Routing Modes for Full Flexibility

Each module can be set to normal, half-normal, or non-normal on recessed top-panel switches. In normal mode the rear input passes straight through to the rear output with nothing patched. Half-normalled means signal passes through until a front cable taps or breaks the link to reroute it. Non-normal leaves points open for mults and custom routing, all with a matching lit label.

Powered Displays in a Reinforced Chassis

The LED displays are powered and ship with a USB cable to drive them and the front labeling port. The analog patch path stays passive, so audio passes straight through the connectors. A reinforced steel chassis and black-anodized aluminum faceplate make the unit road-ready. Gold-plated points keep the dense signal path clean and quiet.

Where the Black Lion PBR TT LIT Fits

Flagship studios with complex, ever-changing routing benefit most from labels that update instantly. Engineers rename channels in software or on a keyboard, avoiding outdated tape behind a packed rack. The three routing modes still handle mults, bypasses, and half-normal feeds to the DAW. The lit grid also adds a clean, professional look to any control room.
