The Boss MT-2-3A Metal Zone 30th Anniversary Limited Edition is an all-black "stealth" version of the iconic 1991 high-gain distortion pedal. It features sleek black chassis finishing, distinct gray lettering, a vintage silver battery-compartment thumbscrew, and identical dual-stage analog circuitry as the original best-selling classic.

Design and Aesthetics

• Stealth Finish: All-black outer enclosure replacing the standard metallic gray.
• Commemorative Markings: Special gray text layout and a retro silver thumbscrew on the battery door.
• Collector Packaging: Shipped in a custom box featuring a dedicated 30th-anniversary logo.

Core Sound and Circuitry

• Dual-Stage Gain: Uses two series-connected gain stages for clear, saturated, and heavy crunch.
• Advanced EQ: Includes a 3-band active EQ with semi-parametric mid-frequency control (allowing up to 15 dB boost/cut).
• Tight Filtering: Seven total pre- and post-distortion filtering stages keep heavy rhythms distinct without low-end mud.
