The Fairfield Circuitry Randy's Revenge is an all-analog ring modulator built around a pure sine wave oscillator with a low-pass filter and dry/wet mix control. At lower oscillator frequencies it produces tremolo and vibrato-style effects — slow and lush or rhythmically chopped depending on the setting. As the frequency increases, the character shifts into bell tones, tuned intervals, and lo-fi synth-like textures.

The low-pass filter cutoff and dry/wet mix give you significant control over how much of the ring modulation effect comes through, making it usable across a wide range from subtle to fully processed.

CV integration is a strong point of the Randy's Revenge. Both the oscillator frequency and the low-pass filter frequency are voltage-controllable. The stereo CV port is switch-programmable to work either as an expression pedal input or as a two-channel CV port. The internal oscillator is also available as a dedicated output, allowing the pedal to function as a standalone voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in a modular or semi-modular setup.
