This 1964 Fender Jazz Bass once belonged to Gordy Garris of the Detroit rock band The Frost. Other than being refinished in the early ’80s, it’s all original except for one pickup, which I left as they were when I got it. It plays beautifully with no issues. I had planned to keep it forever, as The Frost was a legendary Detroit band and is part of the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends Hall of Fame. From what I’ve been told, it was originally fiesta red, then stripped and clear-coated in the early ’80s, according to a letter from a bandmate of the previous owner. Plays amazing!
