For sale we have a beautiful 2009 Fender Custom Shop ‘56 Stratocaster NOS in Desert Sand finish with original center pocket tweed hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. A stunning tribute to one of the most iconic years in Stratocaster history, this reissue captures the look, feel and unmistakable tone of an original mid-50’s Fender while offering the precision craftsmanship of the Custom Shop. This particular example has seen minimal playing time and is in excellent condition. The body shows just a handful of very light surface scratches scattered sparsely throughout both the top and back from normal use. There is one small chip in the finish on the corner of the neck cavity (see photo). The rear side trem cavity cover also shows some light scratches but aside from that there is really not much else to note. The neck is clean and in excellent shape showing virtually no visible play wear aside from just a touch of fret wear on the first three frets. The neck is straight and plays great. Truss rod access is located at the heel of the neck and functions as intended. The original white pickguard was replaced with a gorgeous gold anodized aluminum guard with the original included in the case. An excellent playing and sounding Strat built with high quality standards and attention to vintage-correct detail.
