For sale we have a 2008 Gibson Custom Shop ‘67 Flying V Reissue in Red Sparkle finish with original Gibson branded hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
An exceptionally well-crafted recreation of one of Gibson’s most iconic and visually striking electric guitars, this ‘67 Flying V Reissue is faithful to the original late-’60s design capturing the unmistakable style, feel, and powerful voice that made the Flying V a favorite among so many legendary players. Built with premium tonewoods and meticulous attention to vintage detail, this instrument delivers the unmistakable combination of sustain, resonance, and aggressive bite that has defined the Flying V for generations.

This particular example is in excellent lightly used condition showing just a handful of small dings scattered throughout the instrument (on the edges of the pointy parts of the body and the tip of the headstock) and a small area of damage in the clear coat finish on either side of the nut (possibly from a wall hanger? See photos). Aside from that and some strum wear on the pickguard the guitar is in lovely condition and is absolutely beautiful. Structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. The nickel hardware appears to have been factory aged with some oxidation and patina. The original pair of Burstbuckers were replaced at some point with a set of RS Guitarworks True 60’s PAF humbuckers, an incredible handmade pickup that is a painstakingly accurate copy of a very special original set of 1960 PAF’s. The only other part that has been replaced are the knobs which were swapped out for a vintage-correct witch hat style knob. The original set is included. A killer V here! Lightweight and resonant with a big ol’ chunky neck. Yep!
