Here for sale we have a Fender MG-69 Mustang CIJ Electric Guitar in Vintage White finish. Crafted in Japan between 2006-2008, this guitar features a Basswood body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include upgraded vintage-style locking tuners, a Fender Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece with added tremolo screw thumbwheel, and chrome hardware. A pair of Fender MG Vintage Single Coil pickups are fitted, and are each wired to independent 3-position slider switches, as well as master volume and tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the 'Oval' Shape profile feeling comfortable in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth transitions up and down the neck, and works in conjunction with the 24" scale to create an instrument that feels exceptionally easy to navigate. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 7.25" radius and vintage frets deliver a suitably vintage-inspired feel. The use of Basswood for the body keeps the weight low, and with the compact design and generous body contours playing for extended periods of time is a very comfortable experience in both standing and seated positions.
The pair of Fender single-coil pickups installed in this guitar deliver crystal clear and articulate sounds, well suited to a wide range of genres. The neck pickup offers warmth and a smooth bass response which retains detail when driving the amp. The bridge pickup is brighter, cutting through the mix easily to put your playing front and centre. Each pickup is controlled with a 3-position slider. The middle position disengages the pickup, allowing you to use the neck or bridge pickup independently or even use the control as a kill switch. Putting both switches in the same direction engages them both in parallel and in phase, whilst sliding them in opposite directions engages them in series, out of phase. This opens up a surprisingly wide range of tones for a guitar with just two single-coils.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching, only visible under direct light at certain angles. Small indentations are apparent to the very tip edges which have not removed any of the finish.
Neck: Overall good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates a small indentation in the line with the 4th fret. This can be lightly felt by the thumb in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light scratching and indentation that cannot be felt beneath the strings.
Body: Overall very good condition. The treble side corner of the neck pocket demonstrates cracking to the lacquer of the finish, this does not affect the structure of the guitar. The front face demonstrates small, light indentations throughout, which have not removed any of the finish to reveal the wood beneath. Most notably to the bass side horn and centre of the lower bout, where the finish has been marked but not removed. The sides demonstrate light to mild scratching and indentation around the lower bout, none of which have removed the finish to reveal the wood beneath. The rear face demonstrates light indentation, not as frequently as the front face. Most notably indentations to the bass side of the centre, which has marked but not removed any of the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (flat head driver) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and good condition. Light to mild scratching is apparent to the bridge, tailpiece, controls and neck plate. Concentrated light scratching is apparent to the pickguard, with a more moderate scratch in line with the bridge pickup. The treble side corner of the pickguard, nearest the controls, demonstrates a jagged edge that the new owner may wish to reshape and sand for a cleaner look. Tuners appear to have been upgraded to vintage-style locking tuners.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
