Sporting the Competition Red paint scheme with a racing stripe over red metallic paint, this 1972 Mustang draws plenty of attention. Are you looking for an introduction to the world of vintage Fender offset guitars? Here is the perfect choice.
This Mustang has not been modified from factory specifications, and retains all of the original wiring and electronics. The potentiometer date code of 7205 gives us the 5th week of 1972 and the faint neck stamp shows January 1972. Even the frets are original. There is a trace of wear on the first three frets but still plenty of miles left to drive before a fret dress. Overall the guitar is in nice condition with a few paint chips and scratches highlighted in the photos. Note the added string tree which is easy enough to remove if you prefer. Includes the original tremolo arm and case, which shows some damage and lots of wear with one missing latch.
