A 2022 1959 Stratocaster Journeyman Relic SFACAR (Super Faded Aged Candy Apple Red) has arrived.

Equipped with Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups and featuring jumbo frets (6100), this is a bluesman’s top pick!

The Candy Apple Red finish is achieved through multiple layers.

The white base coat and the gold middle layer peek through from the elbow contour, and this gradient creates a more three-dimensional look.

Additionally, thanks to the “Super Faded Aged” treatment, this Candy Apple Red finish gives the impression of a slightly lighter shade rather than a deep red.

The fingerboard features a combination of jumbo frets and a 9.5” radius.

The neck grain is straight-grained.

The neck shape is the 60s Oval “C,” which is the thinnest profile among vintage-style neck grips and remains highly popular.

It features Vintage Modified Wiring #2, a user-friendly wiring configuration that ensures volume and tone controls reduce the overall level or soften the tone evenly across the entire frequency range—from high to low—without causing the high frequencies to drop out when the volume or tone is turned down.

The guitar is equipped with Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups. Built with Alnico 5 magnets and enamel-wound wire, this model has a solid midrange and pairs well with overdrive pedals.

The smooth output of the hand-wound pickups delivers a versatile sound that goes beyond that of a high-output pickup alone.

As for the instrument’s condition, there is no damage visible other than the relic finish, including on the back of the neck, and the frets are in excellent condition with visible edges.
