This 1968 ES-335TDC Came to us in good condition considering it's age and the few modifications that were done. This is a great players grade guitar and functionally performs very well. The original trapeze tailpiece has been professionally converted to a stop tailpiece with a modern bridge. The screw holes on the bottom of the guitar have been filled nicely and the tuning stability and sustain are improved. The original tuning machines have been replaced with standard Grovers and function very well. (See photos ) The pickguard is unoriginal to the guitar but fits the instrument well. The frets have quite a bit of playtime and are fairly flattened but there are no deep dings and the instrument plays very fast for a semi-hollow style guitar. This 335 has a smaller size nut width and neck profile. Cosmetically there is a fair amount of wear and checking on the instrument but nothing that isn't consistent with it's age. A majority of the finish checking is in the neck gloss. There's 1 fairly larger ding on the side of the neck compared to a pen tip for scale. (See photo) The pickups are the original Gibson Patent Humbuckers. The guitar comes with a Gibson Custom series 335 case seen pictured.
