Tris Imboden's Chicago 50th Anniversary DW, Paiste, Gibraltar Drum Set 2017 - Mirror Gold Lacquer.

This one of a kind DW drum set was custom built for Tris Imboden during his tenure with Chicago. Tris played drums with Chicago for 28 years from 1990-2018. The set was made to commemorate the band’s 50 year anniversary and was played on the band’s 2017, 50 year anniversary tour.

This is Imboden’s complete touring drum rig and includes all of the drums, cymbals, rack and hardware seen in the studio photos (microphones not included). Also included with the set are a collection of 2017 tour items including a stage used pair of Tris’ drum sticks, All Access laminate, band’s tour itinerary book and an un-opened tour program still in it’s original plastic wrap.

The set was designed personally for Imboden by John Good at DW drums. Good was a longtime Chicago fan and wanted to make something extra special the bands 50th anniversary. John Good is legendary for creating some of the most extraordinary drum finishes ever made. He really outdid himself on this set. He started with DW custom Collectors Series Cherry/Mahogany shells finished in 18 coats of hand rubbed Metallic Mirror Gold Lacquer. Each drum was given 2 metallic “Chicago 50 Years” logos embedded into the Mirror Gold lacquer finish. All of the lugs, rims and mounts are gold plated. The drums are visually stunning and give the appearance of being made of solid gold. The set looks amazing in the photos but, the pictures can't close do doing them justice. Suffice it to say, you're going to be very pleasantly surprised when you un-box these drums!

The set was handled with extreme care and remains in excellent condition.

The DW custom Cherry/Mahogany set includes the following.

-8×7, 10×8 and 12×9 mounted toms

-14×14 and 16×16 floor toms on legs

-23×18 bass drum with “Chicago 50 Years” logo head

-14×6 matching snare with signed head.

- 14×4 heavy copper snare

The entire custom Gibraltar rack and all hardware seen in the photos are also included.

Some parts of the rack system, particularly the chrome rack clamps and fittings, show considerable scratching. Everything remains in excellent working condition. Nothing broken or damaged.

A a copy of the original DW sales order plus a certificate of authenticity signed by the seller and Modern Runner Magazine CEO David Frangioni is included.
