Up for sale is a 100% original 1969 Telecaster.

Will ship well packed in a Reverb instrument shipping box, insured of course. Pickup can be arranged if you are in the North Georgia area or would like to make the drive.

I highly recommend watching the video link. It highlights most of the flaws I could spot as well as just how original this thing actually is.

I sent the video link and pictures to Carter Vintage Guitars in Nashville, they said they would love to have this guitar on thier showroom floor, would price it at 12,000 and take offers.

I believe they picked this price point due to this really being a bit above "player grade" due to how unaltered it is. This is no museum piece, but, it has been lucky enough to miss all incompetent luthiers, has had no modifications performed to it, and is a really good example of a rosewood board 1969 tele. I would love to have seen it before the more white "blonde" finish faded to this yellow.

I'm no vintage guitar expert, I bought this a few years ago with 2 possible futures for the guitar, either eventually use it to trade up to a pre CBS strat for a forever guitar for myself, or cash it out as an investment.

I have the opportunity at the end of this year to get into the music business as a small business owner, taking over a local store that has been in business since 1971. The owner is now 81 years old, and says this Christmas is his last one in business. This sale will be used to fund me buying out his inventory and becoming the new owner.

I say it in the video, but to be very clear, the pickups do not read correctly on a meter, but they do sound good. They either flash a resistance, then flash open, or give strange and non reasonable resistance numbers. I decided to leave this all original example just like it is, all original, but if the next owner chooses to rewind, they have that option. Lindy Fralin's website puts it i think around 125 per coil to rewind, plus shipping. Compared to the value of the guitar that is a drop in the bucket.
