I bought this earlier this year (2026 lol) new from SD as a custom custom (with an alnico 2 magnet) and decided to install a new rough cast alnico 5 that i got from mojo because i thought the low end was a little loose for my tatstes -- i installed the A5 rough cast (which is supposed to make the high end a bit more smooth than a regular alnico 5) but i installed a different pickup in the guitar this was intended for and i don't want to swap it out anymore lol...( i went with a dimarzio super distortion in that guitar). the cloth wrap tore a little bit when i swapped the magnet so i re-wrapped this pickup with some new coil tape. i will ship this with the original A2 magnet that it came with from SD.
