Details about this particular instrument:

  • The bridge cover is noticeably tarnished looking. This was an issue with the early Majesty guitars. Word at the time from Music Man was that they tried to make sure their metal coatings were more environmentally friendly, but whatever they used took just a couple of sessions to start looking worn. This applies to the strap buttons as well, though it's less noticeable there.
  • There's a small shallow scratch on the body, just under the neck (if looking at it from a playing position) - from a guitar string scraping it. I tried to get good pictures of it to give you an idea of the visibility and scale of the scratch.
  • Enjoy the modern Majesty electronics! The preamp has been swapped out for a new V2 Music Man Majesty preamp after the first one failed. The new preamp has more of the circuitry on the PCB and fewer wires run throughout the cavity. With the preamp change came new switches (2), pots (3), knobs (3), back plate, battery compartment, and output jack. This is also why the switches and knobs are not tarnished looking like the bridge cover.
  • The guitar has lived its life in the case when not being played, so it looks very new aside from the aforementioned metal coating issues and the one scratch.
  • I'll include everything Music Man included in the case when I got it, including extra tremolo springs, instrument wipes (they may have dried out after all these years, even in the sealed package), stickers, and a schematic detailing the electronics functionality. Please note that some parts of the schematic are not quite accurate anymore due to the new V2 preamp being in the guitar. The main difference really is that mono/stereo switching is now done through a toggle button accessible through the cavity cover. The V1 preamp did so by clicking the piezo volume pot's knob.
  • It was manufactured in April 2015, I bought it in November 2015 and I've been its only owner.
