This great Super 400 shows some signs of playwear. Acoustically louder than an L5 but also has a fuller sound electrically imo. Some of the hardware and bridge are non-original. There are a few minor marks as well as "buckle rash" on the back (this is mostly in the clear-coat). There is some mild wear to the binding (as pictured) where the clear coat has worn back a bit to show the stark ivory-white shade of the binding. The frets have been dressed and play evenly across the fingerboard with no fret-out or any buzzing. The neck is straight and true, the neck angle is perfect and the truss rod works great. The original "patent stamped" Gibson PAF humbuckers sound incredibly lush. This fine instrument sparkles tonally and absolutely nails the sound of the most distinguished proprietor of the Super 400: Kenny Burrell.

Cleaned, polished, and waxed with a fresh set of heavy gauge flatwounds. The nut has been lowered and the action is low. This buxom blond is gig-ready!
