Rare Sabian Paragon Neil Peart 24" Factory Prototype Heavy Ride Cymbal - 3784g

Up for sale is an incredibly rare, factory-original Sabian 24" Prototype Ride cymbal. Weighing in at an excellent 3784 grams, this cymbal offers a fascinating look into Sabian’s Vault engineering.

Based on the stylized gold "Prototype" font and construction, this piece stems from the mid-2000s era when Sabian was developing heavy-hitting lines, including the famous Paragon series. While standard production Paragon rides maxed out at 22", this is a rare 24" "what-if" prototype that never made it to mass production.

Specifications:

• Diameter: 24 inches
• Weight: 3784 grams
• Logos: Clear Sabian logo and stylized gold "Prototype" ink text with “SABIAN under construction” printed below. No serial number or signature, as is standard for many true factory vault test models.
• Condition: Excellent used condition. No cracks, keyholing, or flea bites. Original patina intact (has not been cleaned to protect the logos). 

Sound Profile:

At 3784g, it is beautifully balanced for a 24" heavy ride. It provides a piercing, clear bell character with a strong, articulate stick definition ("ping"), but remains thin enough at this diameter to offer a lush, dark wash without becoming overwhelmingly harsh.

Extra:

I have a hard shell SKB Cymbal Safe that I can include with this for an extra $50 (no additional shipping charge). If you want to buy some of my other cymbals along with this one, it could be a nice way to ship everything. I can put the cymbals inside the Cymbal Safe, and then the Cymbal Safe inside a padded box.
