For sale is a beautiful, authentic pre-1930 Hawkes & Son (London) 5-string open-back banjo, with a straight neck. This instrument features simple round dot inlays on the fretboard and is stamped with the assembly/model number "43" at the base of the neck.
·Neck: Completely straight and true, which is rare for an instrument of this vintage. Excellent playability.
·Head: Upgraded with a brand-new REMO skin/head, providing excellent modern tuning stability and bright, resonant tone while preserving its historical character.
·Case: Includes the rare, original hardshell case. The case is in fair structural condition and great for historical pairing, though the original carrying handle is missing.
