This guitar is based on an early model of the Fender USA Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster. Its appeal lies in the unique touch response provided by the scalloped fingerboard and the one-of-a-kind presence created by its f70s-style look.
This guitar features a distinctive pickup configuration, with DiMarzio DP117 (HS-3 series) pickups in the front and rear positions. These deliver a smooth, sustained high-gain tone with reduced noise, perfectly suited for Yngwiefs signature fluid lead playing. Additionally, an American Standard Stratocaster pickup is installed in the center position, ensuring practical playability and ease of use for clean and half-tone sounds.
It also features a TBX control, which allows you to actively control the clarity of the highs in addition to standard tone adjustment. This compensates for the slightly mellow characteristics of the HS-3 series and enables you to create sounds with even greater clarity.
Judging by its appearance, the center pickup has been replaced, so while the configuration differs from the original specifications, this has resulted in a guitar that excels in playability and sound balance from the playerfs perspective.
This guitar blends the delicate control characteristic of a scalloped fingerboard with a pickup configuration designed for real-world performance.
There are a few spots on the back of the neck where the finish has melted. There are scattered stains or discoloration on the pickguard.
