Roland SRV-330 Dimensional Space Reverb — 1U Rack, Tested & Working (Firmware v1.06)
The Roland SRV-330 is the reverb half of Roland's early-'90s "Sound Space" rack trio (alongside the SDE-330 delay), built around Roland's RSS (Roland Sound Space) processing. It's prized for lush, three-dimensional reverbs with a character that's hard to get from modern plugins — big halls, cathedrals, plates, and the dimensional/spatial algorithms it's known for. Stereo in/out, MIDI, and front-panel program access make it a studio and live-rack favorite. Working units typically sell in the **$250–$350** range; this is priced as a confirmed-powers-on, cosmetically-honest unit.
**What's verified (from the bench):**
- Powers on cleanly
- Boots to the SRV-330 info screen — **firmware Ver 1.06**
- VFD display is bright, fully lit, and 100% legible (no dead segments)
- Navigates programs — preset banks load and display correctly (e.g. P050 "Ave Cathedral," RevTm 5.8)
- **Audio path confirmed working — processes reverb and sounds excellent through the analog outputs**
- Input level / balance / effect controls and front-panel buttons present and functional
**What was NOT done — read this honestly:**
- MIDI in/out not specifically bench-tested
- No internal service, recap, or calibration performed (works great as-is)
**Cosmetic condition (from the actual photos):**
- Front panel: very good — clean face, legible silkscreen, knobs and buttons intact
- Top panel: light dust and age-appropriate scuffing, ventilation slots clear
- Rack ears: brass-finish ears show tarnish and mounting wear (normal for a 30-year-old rack unit)
- Rear I/O: stereo OUTPUT L(MONO)/R, BYPASS, CONTROL, EXP PEDAL, and level switches (−20/+4 dBm) all present; jacks look clean
- Honest vintage piece — pictured exactly as it sits, no wash-out editing
**Included:** SRV-330 unit only. Uses a standard detachable IEC power cable (the common "computer/kettle" cable — not included; widely available for a few dollars).
**Serial number:** ZH15372

A note about vintage/used electronics:
All electronics are tested. Any known issues are listed in the description above. Your item will not be sent DOA unless explicitly specified.
Sometimes issues do arise in transit and can be caused by rough handling, old/brittle wiring, or a component failing under the rigors of shipping. Major issues are covered by insurance — that's why every package ships fully insured.
Many issues are minor and fall under normal user maintenance. These are things any buyer of vintage/used electronics should be comfortable handling:
- Pots can be scratchy or develop a flat spot from use. DeoxIT solves most of these.
- Switches occasionally need to be cleaned or adjusted to make better contact.
- Belts, lubricants, and rubber components have a service life — vintage gear may need preventive service.
