This is a really fantastic Sarasate 16" viola made by Gustav August Ficker in Germany for William Lewis & Sons in 1982. Overall the condition is quite good with just a few minor scratches and dings from its 40+ years of use. The viola has a new tailpiece with fine tuners and new Thomastik Alphayue viola strings on it. A truly perfect instrument for the advancing intermediate viola student or casual viola playing adult. It sounds very rich and warm and is tremendously easy to play. Includes a case in good condition with writing on it from previous student owner. Additionally comes with a great student bow that was just re-haired. In other words, it's ready for its new owner to enjoy the moment it arrives.
