Up for sale is a truly remarkable piece of electric guitar history: a mid-to-late 1930s Rickenbacker Electro-Spanish Model B Bakelite body, retrofitted with a custom vintage wooden neck featuring a 6-in-line "Fender-style" headstock.

The Body & Hardware (Pre-War Innovation)

The heart of this instrument is a genuine, pre-war molded black Bakelite body accented by its five original decorative chrome plates, as seen in ⁠image.png⁠. The back of the instrument proudly displays PAT. NO. 1881229 stamped into the Bakelite, anchoring its pedigree to Rickenbacker’s legendary 1932 patent for molded instrument design.

Neck:
Previous owner must have commissioned this well matched, Fender-Style custom wooden neck conversion.

Condition & Functionality:

 Body: Excellent structural condition for its age. Expected some surface swirl marks on the back of the Bakelite and other areas (see all pics), but free of severe cracks or major damage.

 Fully operational horseshoe pickup system.

 Case: Includes the gorgeous, heavily weathered vintage hardshell case adding massive vibe and historical context to the entire package.
