Here is a classic vintage 1968 Martin 0-18 is very good condition. I bought this guitar a while back because I love Martins from the 1960s. While they don't have the vibe as those prewar Martins, they are much more accessible to the average player and collector, while still having excellent Martin craftsmanship.
In 1968, Martin was still using Honduran Mahogany for the back and sides, lovely Sitka Spruce on the top, and Brazilian Rosewood for the fretboard. Great tone woods and materials. The construction is light, so the small body produces wonderful tones and sustain for its size. The neck is straight. No need for any reset. The guitar has been played but not at all abused. It is structurally excellent.
It is all original except for the bridge and pickguard. When I bought it, it came with a non orginal ebony bridge. The original would have been Brazilian Rosewood. The bridge was lifting so I removed and reattached it. It's now sitting perfectly flat against the soundboard. The bridge also had a plastic saddle which I've replaced with a new bone saddle. Action is a 3mm on the low E string at the 12th fret with plenty of saddle left if you want to go lower.
The original pickguard was lifting and shrinking so I replaced it with a Holter Custom pickguard which looks fantastic. It comes with a Martin soft travel case in excellent shape. Check out the video. Let me know if you have any questions.
Doc Hanson's Good Time Guitars: Every guitar I sell has at minimum been cleaned, the action adjusted to a good playing height, new strings installed, and tested by me. If the guitar has electronics, these have been tested and repaired if needed. I do not sell guitars that don't work properly. If the guitar has been repaired prior to me receiving it, I make every attempt to describe those repairs in the listing. If I have made repairs on the guitar, I will describe them in the listing. I attempt to be as accurate and transparent as possible in my descriptions but acknowledge that I don't know everything and can make errors. My list prices are based on the assessed condition of the guitar and market rates. I will entertain reasonable offers and reject low-balls. My desire is to get good guitars into the hands of people to play and enjoy. I charge a flat shipping rate for every guitar shipped within the US. If you are in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and want to look at a guitar, or pick up locally, let me know. Thanks for looking and keep on pickin'.
