We have quite the unique bird here, in the form of a vintage Wilson Semi-Hollow.  Made in England, circa 1969-1971, this is a rare WEM (Watkins Electric Music) era build that you won't see often.

This instrument showcases a double-cutaway semi-hollow body, an original Wilson-branded tailpiece, dual humbucking pickups, a sunburst finish, and the signature crown headstock inlay that is characteristic of Wilson guitars from that era.  The neck plate bears the following inscription:

“Made in England”
Serial Number: 14678

The guitar is all original and exhibits a nice patina obtained over the years.  It's in great shape, and displays typical cosmetic wear, finish checking, hardware patina, and signs of use that are consistent with an instrument over 50 years old.  The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly.  The original case is long gone; this one comes with a gig bag.

This one is noteworthy, as Wilson guitars hold a distinctive position in the history of British electric guitars. Manufactured by Watkins Electric Music (WEM), they represent an intriguing chapter in electric guitar history, before the influx of imported Japanese instruments. Authentic English-made examples are becoming increasingly rare.  Collectors that are vintage British gear, alongside brands such as Burns, Vox, Höfner, and Selmer, love these.  So whether you fall into that boat or you just want a sweet semi-hollow, this is a great score!
