You are looking at a set of very desirable 1983 Gibson Tim Shaw pickups (with nickel covers) in great condition. Tim Shaw pickups were one of Gibson’s best attempts at recreating the unmistakable late 50s PAF tone.
Tim Shaw pups are revered for their warm, articulate lows, open mid-range, and bright highs. Fantastic for both clean and over-driven settings.
One is ink stamped "373883" and the other is ink stamped but I can't make out the number sequence (but it is indeed ink stamped).
These fantastic pickups also come with their original rings, screws, and springs.
This set has the shorter legs—the person I bought them (thinks he remembers) taking them from an SG. I had them in a 80s studio which I have since sold.
The ohms are 7.37 and 7.45 with leads lengths are 7.5" and 12.25"
Tim Shaw sets are becoming hard to find and sets with covers, rings, screws, and springs more so.
note: one of the covers was removed to confirm the presence of white spacers.
I have priced these fantastic pickups a little below reverb market price to move them a bit quicker as I am looking to buy a couple of boutique Firebird pups. Feel free to ask me any questions and/or send me a reasonable offer. Thanks for looking.
