Here for sale we have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom 'Black Beauty' Electric Guitar in Ebony finish. Made in Korea in 2004, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-o-matic bridge, a Stopbar tailpiece, Gold hardware, and Grover tuners. The pickups installed are three Alnico Classic Humbuckers that are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. 

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 'C' profile filling the hand without being too cumbersome, offering a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels luxurious under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium Jumbo frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. 

The Epiphone humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The Epiphone 2 in the middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The Epiphone humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations and scuff markings are present to the top edge of the headstock, with this some of the scuff markings display light paint transfer. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching, this is most apparent to the front face and can be seen under direct light as is common with gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching is present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only be seen under direct light and is most prominent to the higher register.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching and indentations, the most prominent indentations can be seen to the treble side lower bout edge where the finish has lightly cracked but does not expose the wood beneath and to the center of the rear face consistent with past lay wear. All scratching can be viewed under direct light as is common with gloss finishes.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register.  There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light to mild tarnishing of the finish can be seen to all aspects of the metal hardware, this is most noticeable to the pickup covers and is consistent with moderate past use. Mild fine scratching is present to the pick guard, these can be seen under direct light.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Case & Accessories

Hiscox hard case.

Overall very good condition and fully functional. The lining for the inside accessory lid is peeling away. Light to mild scratching and markings are present to the exterior of the case, with this a previous owner has carved their name into the bottom of the exterior.
