Arguably the best year for Gibson solid body models, 1959 examples are always a welcome treat for us to get in. This Les Paul Special model came in and looks amazing in that iconic Cherry finish. With the new at the time double cut design, players could play all up and down the neck with ease. While this guitar has had the infamous heel crack, it was repaired well and has been cleared by our in-house luthiers. The original P-90s are perfect for so many styles of music, but really do well with some drive into your favorite amp.
Serial #923618, comes with a non original case. Pot codes dated 29th week of 1959, neck measures .868"/1st and .944"/9th. Weighs 8.2lbs. Please refer to the provided photos for more detail on the condition of this instrument. As with all of our vintage listings, included is a vintage spec sheet which details any repairs & changes of note.
