Vintage Brenell TR MK5 reel-to-reel tape recorder from the late 1950s.

Originally purchased for a sound art installation and exhibition project.

The machine powers on and initially operates, however after running for some time the transport mechanism becomes unreliable and eventually stops turning. For this reason I am selling it as:

“For restoration, repair or experimental use.”

I have not attempted any repairs and do not have the expertise to diagnose the issue.
