The ATM 250 is best known and has proven itself as a kick or snare mic. The DE (Dual Element) version features two capsules — which basically means two mics in one: one dynamic and one condenser. So if you like to mic up drums or, for example, guitar amps with both a dynamic and a condenser mic, you can do it all at once here without any phase issues. It works great and really convenient; the sound is pleasantly neutral, and playing around with the channel levels and EQ, you can quickly and easily create and blend different sounds.
The microphone has been used exclusively in a non-smoking studio and comes with the padded carrying case, the original microphone mount (AT8471), and the special dual-XLR cable.
