1989 Heritage H-140CM Electric Guitar
With original hard case, case key, giveaway certificate, warranty paperwork, and decals as pictured
Here's a unique opportunity to own a Kalamazoo-built Heritage with documented local history. Included with the guitar is the original paperwork showing this instrument was awarded as part of the 1990 True Value / GMC Truck Country Showdown held at the Kalamazoo County Fair in Kalamazoo, Michigan—the same city where Heritage Guitars was founded by former Gibson craftsmen after Gibson's departure from Kalamazoo.
Finished in a stunning Almond Sunburst over a beautifully figured flame maple top, this H-140CM represents the quality and craftsmanship that made early Heritage guitars so highly respected among players and collectors. Built in Kalamazoo by many of the same craftsmen who previously built Gibson guitars, these instruments have developed a strong following for their exceptional build quality, tone, and value.
The guitar is all original and remains in very good condition overall. It shows only honest cosmetic wear consistent with age and careful use. Flaws consist of minor scratches, light dings, and typical handling wear, but nothing significant or noteworthy given the guitar's age. There are no cracks, breaks, repairs, or structural concerns.
The guitar retains its original Heritage Schaller-made humbuckers, original Grover tuning machines, original electronics, and original hardware. The pickups are known for their warm, articulate tone, excellent clarity, and classic vintage-style humbucker character that helped establish Heritage's reputation during its early years.
The neck is straight, the truss rod operates as it should, and the guitar plays beautifully over the entire fingerboard. Fret wear is minimal as pictured, and buckle rash is minor.
