1970 Gibson SG Standard Cherry
Body: Mahogany body with original Cherry finish.
Neck: Mahogany neck with bound Rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius, 24.75” scale length, 1 9/16” nut width, 22 frets, pearl trapezoid inlays.
Pickups/Hardware: Original “T-Top” humbuckers pickups, Kluson deluxe tuning keys, ABR-1 bridge with wire, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs, nylon nut.
Modifications: This guitar has had a heel repair and touch up.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in good condition overall for its age. It has some surface scratches on the top and back of the body with some light finish checking throughout the instrument. The original cherry finish is very dark and vibrant. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show wear consistent with age. Overall, this guitar plays well and sounds fantastic.
Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been set-up low and comfortable.
Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz.
Case: This guitar ships with the original hardshell case, professionally packaged, and fully insured.
