This is a fabulous version of the classic ‘large box’ analog flanger/filter matrix pedal, made in New York City. It has an EC-1000 Rev B circuit board, cylindrical ‘hockey puck’ knobs and a 24V external adapter port, all of which identify it as a Version 5 unit. It has a full set of controls for its well-known, warm flanger tone (Color, Range and Rate); the Range and Color knobs also adjust the filter matrix sound. In addition, there are 4 internal trim pots below the circuit board; these are considered ‘expert level’ adjustments covered in some online resources but not in the user manual (see photos). There is a top switch to select the flanger versus the filter matrix effect. It has a direct output that sends a dry signal unaffected by any pedal setting. The pedal sounds fantastic and is in excellent condition, with no dents, dings, rust or Velcro residue. There are minor scuffs and scratches as shown in the photos. Warning: This pedal requires a special 24V tip-positive power supply, which is included. You may fry the pedal if you try to use an alternative like the standard Boss-style power supply. It comes with its original box (showing minor stains), warranty cards and a printed copy of the manual and schematic. I am including a set of alternative pointed knobs if you’d like a slightly different look.
