VINTAGE - This vintage 1960 Gibson ES-345TD Thinline Semi-Hollow Electric Archtop is a stunning 66-year-old guitar in excellent condition that looks amazing and has aged gracefully retaining its gorgeous original deep cherry finish. It plays, feels, sound and looks magnificent! Its sustain and sound acoustically is tremendous and is a great example of what everyone is looking for in a vintage ES-345.

This is a one owner guitar. The original owner bought it at Roxy’s Music in upstate NY in the early 60’s. At some point in the early 2000’s he had the original tuners replaced with a new set of Gibson period correct replacement tuners and a new set of PAF Gibson replacement pickups. (the original tuners come with the guitar). All other parts, hardware and electronics are original factory stock.

This very cool stereo guitar also has the more desirable longer pickguard that extends below the bridge. It includes the original Lifton brown case with the pink interior in excellent condition as well as original Gibson factory documentation that came with the guitar. This guitar is a great example of the very sought after original Gibson ES-345.

The ES-345TD is a thin body, double cutaway, semi-hollow body with solid maple block down center, stereo electronics, 2 humbucking pickups, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs and a switch, Vari-tone rotary tone switch with black ring, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, laminated beveled-edge pickguard that extends below the bridge, triple bound top, single bound back and rosewood fingerboard, double parallelogram fingerboard inlays, neck joins body at 19th fret, crown peghead inlay, gold plated parts.

The "A" that precedes the serial number on interior orange label, stands for the “A” series used from 1947 to 1961 on Gibson hollow body models. This "Artist" series serial numbers were only used on mid to upper end instruments.
