The Revival is built around the feeling of a late-1950s PAF — that open, elastic midrange that blooms under your pick and gives back everything you put in. Wound to chase articulation and dynamics over raw output. Unpotted on every build, which means the pickup is slightly alive at the edge of breakup — the harmonic complexity that potted pickups flatten out.

Blues, jazz, classic rock. For players who've spent time chasing the feel of a worn-in vintage humbucker — the way it breathes with the amp, the way the neck position sings without getting soft, the way the bridge bites without going harsh. Not a high-gain pickup. A feel pickup.

Alnico 5 gives the Revival a stronger, more defined attack with better note separation — tighter low end, more presence in the upper mids. Alnico 2 softens the magnetic pull on the strings, which means a gentler attack, a more natural decay, and a warmer top end throughout. Same wind, same DCR, same construction — the magnet is the voice. Both are valid, neither is the wrong answer. It comes down to your guitar, your amp, and how you play.

Unpotted construction is intentional on every Revival set. At moderate volumes it's transparent. At the edge of breakup it adds harmonic complexity — a bloom and dimensionality that wax-potted pickups don't deliver. If you run a clean amp at bedroom volume, you won't notice it. If you push a tube amp into saturation, you'll hear exactly why it's there.

This set ships with an Aged Pearl cover insert — high-grade cast acrylic, machine recessed to fit flush with the raw nickel beauty ring. Not a veneer overlay. Finished to sit clean and tight, built to last.
