I recently set this up my self, I had to shim the neck in order to get the set up where I like it personally (straight neck low action), strung with new Daddario XTs. Those of you who know Bongos know they’re not exactly easy to get a good set up on when you’re used to pushing the limits of a set up. But this one is somewhere I’m very happy with.
It’s got some oopsies on it inflicted by prior owners but is in great structural shape, truss rod works, frets have tons of life, and electronics are working perfectly.
This 2008 LE in Seqouia Gold is just as nice to simply look at as it is to play. Maybe since it’s not in perfect condition you’ll be more inclined to take it on the road.
