Selling a rare, 1988 Gibson SG ”Showcase Edition”. Limited run guitar, I believe they did 200 of each of these showcase guitars. This one is the Metallic Blue finish with black hardware and factory EMG’s. The entire guitar is original but has seen plenty of use as well as sun. Looking in the control cavity, you can see just how blue this started life as. It is now almost a Jade Green color which looks really great. The finish has tons of natural checking but also plenty of wear from scratches, dings, belt buckle rash, etc. It also looks like there was maybe one large sticker on the back in the past. The guitar plays well with a straight neck and working truss rod. The frets have lots of meat remaining and are free of divots, however from about the 5th fret down there is some corrosion on them, so they’ll need to be sanded and polished. It will make a nice guitar for someone willing to give it some minor attention. feel free and message me with any questions.
