Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean 1998 Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster with a Rosewood fretboard, Roller Nut, and a Tolex hard case. The American Deluxe series is a modern take on a classic axe. Featuring an Alder Body, Maple neck, HSS layout, and the pearl fret markers. The early Bill Lawrence designed noiseless pickups are a smooth rendition of the classic Strat single coils. This is still a very Clapton-esque guitar when it comes to the tones. And this one has the uber rare combination of a Rosewood board and the roller nut.
The nut measures 1.68", neck depth is .85"-.90" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's the Medium C profile that dominated the Stratocaster offerings of the era. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. New nickel Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkys are perfectly intonated. This received a deep cleaning, pro fret level, dress, high polish (a $250 value). 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, 8.32 lbs. There are very few scratches and dings as pictured. The back of the neck is smooth and clean. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. The bridge pickup mounting screws are not original.
