Otari tape decks are praised for their durability and longevity. This machine is certainly not an exception. The tape lifters show some wear but the heads are in excellent condition. Quiet, silky smooth transport, huge sound, and ready for four more decades of recording sessions.

A tremendous amount of dust was cleaned out of the interior. Tape lifters were unseized and lubricated. Every single VU bulb was replaced. Tape path was cleaned and demagnetized, heads were aligned and channels were calibrated. Capstan and tach rollers were rebuilt by Terry Witt. Several of the button indicator lamps are not working, and a few button caps are missing on the remote unit. Empty reel, function selector, autolocator, remote cables and power cable are included.
